The flavor, energy, and unique bond of a D/s relationship style is at the heart of my kink. Power exchange and all that goes with it (trust, honesty, intimacy of all kinds, devotion, attentiveness, and more) is what first drew me to this lifestyle, and it remains its greatest appeal.
For me, a D/s relationship is collaborative and reciprocal (not a one-sided affair, as uninformed folks seem often to envision) that is conceived of, constructed, and eternally nurtured by its members so that they both (or all) find fulfillment and happiness within it. I see this as a capital T Truth, no matter the flavor of D/s in question, and it's how I approach such relationships. There is no "one archetype fits all" or "one twue Way". We're human beings, complex and nuanced, and D/s relationships should be built from the ground up based on that shared understanding, not approached as things that fit a preconceived mold, paradigm, or trope.

I am polyamorous, which for me, means not that I NEED more than one romantic / sexual relationship but that I have the freedom to explore and develop more than one such relationship. I'm highly selective in such relationships. As I like to put it, I'm polyamorous, not poly-fuckerous. My ideal person would be validating and supportive of all of this.
In the realm of BDSM, I seek a singular 24/7 TPE relationship. Such a relationship, in my view, must be fulfilling for both of us; though the authority and power rest with me, the joy, pleasure, and satisfaction cannot be a one-way street.
