The Haven

The Island is approached by a causeway.Acessible only for an hour either side of low tide. At all other times just the double line of timber posts set into the golden sands beneath guides the way through the fast running tides.Ste.Dominique is the only building on the island.A forbidding grey stone structure with circular turret like towers at either end.

Inside it is comfortable,well sealed against the strong sea winds.That is apart from the dungeon that is built into the basement.In the hills above the house there is a dense forest of pines that covers about half the island.The river that runs down cuts through a gorge on it's way to the sea,there are caves with potholes cut into fissures in the rock before it sweeps through the tidal creeks past the oyster beds before eventually spilling onto the wide sandy beach where the tide comes in as fast as a man can run and quicksand stretches out it's evil,hidden fingers to grab the unwary.

The house of St Dominique has stables for the owner's horses.A courtyard enclosed by a high stone wall.Through an iron gate a path leads down to the tack cabin and the pony track that runs though the low undulating pine woods.

MissG run's the establishment and organise events that include regular hunts.New technology and CCTV now ensures that hunts can be viewed in the comfort of "The Lounge" where fine wines and local seafood delicacies are served.

LM was a well known Dom until captured by the MissG. Although entrusted with the day to day running he answers directly to MissG.

Due to new legislation the death sentence has been repealed on The Haven and trophy taking is now an offence.
