what is your go to movie?

Normally we play this game with a book.. say you were stranded and could only read one book etc.

well lets say for the next five years of your life you could only watch one movie on a continuous loop...what movie are you choosing and why?

This is a hard one for me...I think I'd want a comedy to take my mind off of my situation..yet I also don't want to go insane watching it multiple times..

But then again I might also want a " thinking man's movie"..something I'm gonna have to watch multiple times to really appreciate it.

Yet I also want a movie with memorial lines cause chances are i'm going to be repeating them watching the movie that many times..

But then my thoughts turned to billy murray...caddy shack?stripes? that one where he is the camp councilor? groundhogs day?

But then I wonder why not have it all with say zombieland.. you still get bill murray/zombies and woody harrelson

What about mel brooks and say blazing saddles or spaceballs?

or how about gene wilder in young frankenstein....which barely beats out willy wonka and the chocolate factory for me..

But i gotta go with my heart and say the big lebowski.. any movie that has a line like " this is what you get when you FUCK a strannnnger in the asssss Larry !!! while beating the fuck out of a car wins my vote...

And yes the carpet ties it all in...yet they pissed on your rug Dude!!!
someone pissed on the dude's rug?
shut up donny you don't know what your talking about..

Honestly would have to go with my favorite musical production and my favorite version of said production. The 25th anniversary production of The Phantom of the Opera at the Royal Albert Hall. If I am going to be watching it as the only movie for five years I might as well continue with that one and get plenty of practice singing those songs while I watch.

Yeah I am aware of "cold blood"...I find it even odder that truman capote would fall in love with one of the the accused.

and that is another reason I don't live out in the boonies off some beaten pathway by myself....it would be too easy for something like to happen and noone would discover it for weeks at a time

I can't imagine a movie so engrossing and intricate that I would be able to watch it over and over without getting sick of it. Maybe Hamilton, when they release the movie version, because the lyrics and music styles are so rich and complex and intricately interwoven that even after multiple viewings even professional musicians are still noticing new elements. Memento, the 2000 movie about a guy with short-term memory loss trying to solve his wife's murder might qualify. A Beautiful Mind is complicated enough possibly. Pulp Fiction has enough weird variety to keep my interest for a while. Casablanca never gets old. I've seen Citizen Kane a dozen times and can't stay awake through the whole thing. That might be a good one. lol
