Desperado Desperado anewsub2trainnow Silently I sit upon my lathered up black steed watching the rusty orange canyons below under the blazing heat of the Arizona sun quietly searching for the posse on my back trail. Sweat and dust streaks my angry sunburned face as I silently reflect upon that fateful day in the streets of that old cow town where I gunned down the wrong man in the ferocious heat of that fateful July day. I take out my old leather bag and slowly roll a smoke thinking about the fate that shall befall me if they catch up with me on this dusty old trail through the wild country. Silently I shudder at the terrible thought of the hangman's cruel, cold noose tightly wrapped 'round my battle scarred neck and ride on into the sunset hoping that soon I shall be free of the posse. |

I wrote this while listening to the Eagle's song of the same name.
