Molly,

You know how I feel about Cousin Al, I would not vote for him for village idiot, he doesn't have the one functioning brain cell to qualify.

Hope all is well.

If you kicked, the person responsible, in the ass, you'd have a sore ass.
Accountability . .
How many here have expressed their expections to their state an federal congressional or senate representatives?

It is the same on this side of the big Ocean;
Holland, we had a reasonable open leftwing/liberal like gouvernement, but with our last elections, it is a total mess, the right wing + the christian gang is maybe going to lead the deadfall,

no more abortion free of choice, no more... soo much, freedom for gay people, to bé, but they have to go in hiding again, in fear of losing their jobs... and maybe more

I dont want to go on about the kink/BDSM part....
it is getting dark and dark again, a new stone age is coming... in some way, shape of form

I vote liberal, very liberal.
It was not my lack of taking my responsiblity...

Maybe there is still some civization education to safe....?
Your leader is a psycho, every abled body can detect that!

Ours will be right wing Christians on a crusade, to suppress rights of women, gay, elderly people tired of living, moslims maybe, refugees, who knows what more...?

There is no place to hide, just be brave and face it,

Biggest problem with politics is that people do not look at the beliefs of the politicians nor at the platform preached by the parties. We all need to take a deep look at what is offered and turn them all down.

And Welcome back! I missed you.

I'd agree about Trump being gone in a month or 2 if I wasn't concerned about the theocrat VP

I haven't really liked a candidate since John Anderson. It is big money and the rich and powerful pulling the strings. First step to taking back real voting rights is to get the money i.e the corporate money and pacs. Second step, put in term limits. Thirdly, limit the amount of money a person can contribute. Fourth, take gerrymandering away from the politicians. Fifth, revamp the Electoral College such that it reflects the popular vote. Sixth, False statement in campaign advertising needs to be reviewed before release to limit false and inflammatory statements. Sixth, Make sure politics and religion remain separated. And finally in this modern age. we need to have ballot systems that are not hack able. We may need to go back to paper ballets across the county. It may take longer to get results, but actual or possible electronic interference needs to be addressed. Finally, the press needs to be more responsible for verifying information before it is presented. The alternative news services which may be fronts for or easily manipulated by foreign sources needs to be addressed.

That's one seriously tough job. You'd think we'd elect better people to it. Haven't had one I thought measured up since Bush 41 and we tossed him out after one term. Is this a great country or what?

Good to have you back, sweetheart. I've missed you and the rest of the family.

"Are people a lot more aggressive and rude recently?

Yes. I agree it sure seems so.

You still seem to be toeing the line, though, Mol. Good for you.
Regards to you, D and Tam.

What if I said I believe that until I, along with a majority of others, recognize and accept the principals in "Us v Them are the Haves vs the Have-Nots rather than any other straw man divides (for instance, ethnic, ideological, religious or otherwise) that the Haves serve up for consumption to keep our eyes off the prize - we may struggle for a bit longer?

Deception is cruel and as often as effective as intentional lying/omission, etc., I think.
+++++++++++
I'd love for Tam to read this too, as I'll' speak' to Her below as well.

In masterful fashion, spose I said that some can paint people and events in an image they know you won't like? Then, too often a person can go along to get along, even when we know or intuit better?

Well, as a result, if, to paraphrase X, "you don't think for yourself look beyond and beneath and behind the offered image, you'll end up loving your enemies and hating your friends."
Lies and manipulations will sound reasonable and the facts and rationality like the absurdest BS. Being still and being pumped into seems boring. I advocate searching for finding the truth, and questioning everything - no matter who it hurts or helps.

Why, because the real problems have to Be Seen. No solutions exist to Un_known problems, yeah? It seems like the hallmark of social intercourse among equals as Eye see it.

I keep looking for people like Tam, you, others, that are able to talk things over with one another, exchanging and broadening ideas, where it's ok to be wrong, ok to challenge, ok to ensure that the zealot is kept within bounds (whether they get pissed or not), ok to accept facts whether like them or previously believed them or not - and then we can grow into our future, where every settlement in a continuing dialogue becomes a step to a new solution to try, you know?

That's what I think dialogue means.
That's how I believe we can thrive and survive.
That's how I hope others will come to see it in time.

Your Tru (play?) Bruv - I've missed reading y'all.
